A resident of Dallas, Jesus grew up in the inner city. After nearly a decade of incarceration, Jesus has dedicated his life to justice reform and to helping empower individuals that are coming from similar pathways. Jesus developed his passion as a servant leader in the middle of his second prison sentence. After graduating the Prison Entrepreneurship Program, Jesus would help facilitate the following class members and was a strong mentor within the program. In 2018, after his release, Jesus began sharing his story practicing honesty and hard work. He became a recruiter focused on helping connect returning citizens with companies that were practicing second chance hiring. It was then that he began to grow and make an impact on his community through multiple initiatives. He has been active with city council on community improvements and by sharing his story, being an advocate for second chances and justice reform.
